Five tenants and an officer on Beverley Street bear sprayed, woman arrested: C25-277949

On November 18, 2025, around 10:30 p.m., a woman attended outside an apartment block in the 800 block of Beverley Street and discharged bear spray into an open window of a basement suite.

Five occupants inside the suite (2 adults and 3 children), were affected by the spray. They did not know the suspect, and 911 was called.

The suspect then pried the entrance door, gained access and pulled the fire alarm. She was chased out of the building by a tenant and, when confronted by police, she sprayed an officer in the face.

The police officer was medically cleared on scene and the other five victims went to hospital for medical treatment.

A 27-year-old woman, Amethyst Dakota GOODMAN, was charged with the following offences:

  • Assault a Peace Officer with a Weapon
  • Assault with a Weapon x 6
  • Break & Enter with Intent - Place
  • Possession of a Weapon
  • False Alarm of Fire

She was detained in custody.
