Police seize gun and ammunition. Two people arrested and charged: C25-263674

On November 4, 2025, just before 5:30 a.m., Central District General Patrol officers responded to the 1-99 block of Furby Street for multiple reports of gun shots and an argument between a man and a woman.

Officers searched the surrounding area and arrested a man believed to be involved in the incident. A search of the man revealed one 9 mm round of ammunition which was seized by police. A number of shell casings were located on the ground nearby, and a woman, believed to be connected to the incident, was observed entering an apartment complex located in the same block.

Just before 9:30 a.m., with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team (TST), officers attended to a suite in apartment complex and arrested a man and two women.

The Major Crimes Unit assumed the investigation.

Just before 1:00 p.m., with the assistance of TST and the Firearms Investigation Enforcement Unit, a search warrant was executed on the suite where officers seized a loaded Glock 9 mm handgun and a magazine with ammunition.

Alexia Dawn ACOBY-STONEY, (23), has been charged with the following charges:

  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition
  • Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
  • Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations

She was detained in custody.

A 21-year-old man was charged with Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon, Firearm Part or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order.

He was detained in custody.

An 18-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man were released without charge.

The investigation is continuing.
