Transit operator shot with pellet gun, police seek suspect. C25-256607

On October 27, 2025 at 2:11 p.m., East District General Patrol officers responded to the the intersection of Gateway Road and Springfield Road for the report of a youth that produced what is believed to be a pellet gun and shot a transit operator in the hand following a dispute. The operator received minor injuries and was transported to hospital in stable condition.

With the assistance of the Tactical Support Team and K9, officers searched the area for the youth, however, the youth had fled prior to police arrival.  

The major Crimes Unit has assumed the investigation.
