Two men arrested for a 2023 murder on Main Street: C23-55345

Update:

The Winnipeg Police Service’s Homicide Unit has arrested two men in relation to a 2023 homicide. On March 9, 2023, 33-year-old Treymaine TRAVERSE was located deceased in a hotel in the 600 block of Main Street. Treymaine was a member of the
O-Pipon-Na-Piwin Cree Nation, South Indian Lake, Manitoba, and he resided in Winnipeg.  

Between 2023 and now, police continued to investigate and two men were identified.

On  October 16, 2025, Dion Trent SPOTTED EAGLE, a 36-year-old man was arrested on a warrant for Second Degree Murder, and detained in custody.

On October 19, 2025, Harry Andrew BITTERN, a 34-year-old man was arrested on a warrant for Aggravated Assault and an Apprehension and Suspension warrant. He was detained in custody.

Investigators determined the two accused and the victim were known acquaintances when he was murdered.
