Bus driver assaulted. One man and one woman in custody: C25-244743

On October 13, 2025, just before 10:00 p.m., East District General patrol officers responded to an assault incident that took place on a Winnipeg Transit bus in the 2000 block of Main Street. Officers located and arrested a man and woman a short time later in a parking lot, in the 1800 block of Main Street.

The investigation revealed that the man and woman were passengers on the bus when a verbal dispute between the man and the 26-year-old bus driver occurred. This escalated to the point where the bus driver was physically assaulted by the man and spat on by the woman before they disembarked the bus. The man then took out a knife and slashed the outside of the bus before the bus drove away.

Reece Alexander John TURNBULL, (29), has been charged with the following:

  • Assault
  • Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order x 4

Emilee Mina Alexis DUBOIS, (25), has been charged with the following:
 

  • Assault
  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance – Methamphetamine
  • Warrant – Theft Under $5,000 x 2

Both were detained in custody.
