Cadets assaulted, woman arrested in Central Park: C25-242285

On October 10, 2025, around 11:00 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service’s Auxillary Force Cadet Unit responded to Central Park for the report of an intoxicated person laying on the children’s play structure.

Upon arrival Cadets located an intoxicated woman and detained her under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act. While attempting to place her in their vehicle for transport, the Cadets were spit on and kicked.

General Patrol officers were summoned and placed the woman under arrest. The Cadets were not injured.

A 23-year-old woman is facing charges for Assault Peace Officer x 2.

Once sober, she was released on an Undertaking.
