Update:

The Homicide Unit has identified a suspect in the murder of 39-year-old Ralph MOISE, who was fatally shot on May 23, 2025, in the 300 block of Cumberland Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Investigators believe BONNICK may have fled to Ontario.

BONNICK is considered armed and dangerous, do not approach him, call police.

As previously released:

On May 23, 2025, at approximately 1:00 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the 300 block of Cumberland Avenue for the report of an injured male.

Central District General Patrol officers arrived on scene and located a male on the ground suffering from serious upper body injuries. Officers provided emergency medical care to the 39-year-old male victim, including the use of chest seals.

The victim was transported to hospital in critical condition where he has since succumbed to his injuries.

The Homicide Unit has assumed the investigation.
