Guns and Gangs Unit seizes $20,000 worth of cocaine from a Seven Oaks residence. A man and a woman were arrested: C25-227725

In September of 2025, the Winnipeg Police Service’s Guns and Gangs Unit began an investigation regarding a drug trafficking operation within the City of Winnipeg. Through investigation, a man was identified as a suspect in a drug trafficking investigation.

 

On September 24, 2025, just after 7:00 p.m., a traffic stop was conducted in the 200 block of Belmont Avenue and the male suspect was arrested. A search of the man revealed a cannister of bear spray and just under $4,000 in Canadian currency.

On September 24, 2025, just before 8:00 p.m., with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team, a search warrant was then executed on a residence in the 200 block of Belmont Avenue and a woman was taken into custody.

The following items were seized during this search warrant:

  • 288 grams of cocaine with an estimated street value of $20,000
  • $340 in Canadian currency
  • Electronic scales
  • Drug packaging and other drug paraphernalia

A 27-year-old woman has been charged with Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine and Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000.

She was released on an Appearance Notice.

A 31-year-old male has been charged with the following:

  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 x 2
  • Possession of a Weapon
  • Take Motor Vehicle Without Owner Consent (Joyriding)

He was detained in custody.
