Guns and Gangs investigation leads to one arrest and the seizure of money and drugs: C25-215297

In September 2025, the Winnipeg Police Service’s Guns and Gangs Unit began an investigation regarding a drug trafficking operation within the City of Winnipeg. Through investigation, a vehicle of interest and a suspect were identified.

On September 11, 2025, just before 10:30 a.m., the male suspect was seen conducting a drug deal in the rear of the 1-99 block of Keewatin Street. The man was subsequently arrested and a search of the suspect and a vehicle revealed approximately $1,200 in Canadian currency and crack cocaine with an estimated street value of $2,200.

Just before 2:00 p.m., a search warrant was executed on a private residence in the 300 block of Lipton Street where crack cocaine with an estimated street value of $2,800 and other drug packaging paraphernalia were located.

A 49-year-old man is facing charges of Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine and Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000.

He was released on an Undertaking.
