Two people hit by vehicle. One man arrested: C25-208826

On September 3, 2025, just before 11:30 p.m., North District General Patrol officers arrested a man after he was found to be intoxicated while driving his vehicle and colliding with two pedestrians, in the 1-99 block of Atlas Crescent..

Investigators established that the intoxicated man had met up with two other men and began drinking alcohol. The men began to argue which escalated to the point where the suspect got into his vehicle and sped toward them, hitting the other two men before fleeing the scene. One of the men suffered serious bodily injuries and was transported to hospital in unstable condition, later upgraded to stable condition. The other man suffered minor injuries and was transported to hospital in stable condition.

Officers located the suspect a short distance away and he was subsequently arrested.

A 30-year-old man is facing the following charges including:

  • Operation of a Conveyance Cause Bodily Harm While Impaired to Any Degree by BAC
  • Operation of a Conveyance Cause Bodily Harm While Impaired to Any Degree by BAC or Drug or a Combination of Both
  • Fail to Stop at Scene of Accident Knowing That or Reckless as to Whether they Were Involved in an Accident Cause Bodily Harm
  • Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance
  • Fail or Refuse to Comply with Demand
  • Assault with a Weapon x 2
  • Aggravated Assault

He was released on an Undertaking.

The Traffic Division continue to investigate.
