A man in his 30s attacked on Maryland – two people arrested: C25-202426

Winnipeg Police Service Tactical Support Team (TST), Air1, Central District as well as North District officers responded to several 911 calls about a man who was stabbed and bleeding in the 700 block of Maryland Street.

On August 27, 2025, at 8:19 p.m., officers from TST arrived on scene and located a man in his 30s who was bleeding profusely. Lifesaving emergency medical care was provided and the victim was transported to hospital in critical condition and later upgraded to stable condition.

Police secured the scene and with the assistance of AIR1 and K9 searched the area however the suspects managed to escape with items belonging to the victim.

On August 28, 2025  the Major Crimes Unit took over the investigation which led to the arrests of two suspects at 12:00 p.m. in the Central District area.

A 35-year-old man, Everett Vaughn PETERS was charged with the following offences:

  • Aggravated Assault
  • Robbery
  • Possession of a Weapon

A 35-year-old woman, Brittany Michelle FIDDLER was charged with the following offences:

  • Aggravated Assault
  • Robbery

They were both detained in custody.

The Major Crimes Unit investigation is ongoing into the identity of any additional suspects.
