Man charged with sexual assault and voyeurism: C25-134941

In June 2025, the Winnipeg Police Service’s Domestic Violence Unit DVU began an investigation after receiving a report that a woman had been assaulted.

In July 2025, a 35-year-old man was charged with the following offences:

  • Sexual Assault
  • Assault
  • Assault by Choking, Suffocating or Strangling
  • Mischief Under $5000

He was detained in custody.  

The investigation continued, and police seized an electronic device and discovered intimate images of the survivor. These images had been taken without the survivor’s knowledge or consent.

In August, the 35-year-old man was re-arrested and charged with the offence of Voyeurism.

He was detained in custody.

The accused has not been named in this release to protect the identity of the survivor.
