General Patrol officers from the West District responded to the report of an armed robbery at a pizzeria in the 100 block of Osborne Street. Staff reported the suspect had fled and jumped on a bus. Nobody was injured and police stopped the bus in the 600 block of Corydon Avenue.

On August 16, 2025, just after 11:00 p.m., a man entered the pizza shop, demanded food and exited the store without paying. As he was leaving, an employee attempted to stop him at which point the suspect threatened to harm him while holding a knife.

He boarded a transit bus and the victim contacted police and followed the bus until police arrived and took him into custody.

John Junior CHARLETTE (41), was charged with robbery and detained in custody.
