On August 12, 2025, at 3:40 a.m., a suspect broke a window and entered a residence in the 2300 block of Portage Avenue. The resident awoke and was able to exit the suite and contact police.
West District General Patrol officers flooded the area and saw a man leaving the scene on a bike. When officers gave chase, the suspect abandoned the bike and ran into a vacant lot across from the break-in, attempting to hide. Officers pursued him on foot and took him into custody nearby. A backpack containing break-in tools was seized during the arrest.
Officers determined the suspect was unlawfully at large and the subject of a warrant for apprehension and suspension of parole.
Colin Gabriel MOOSE (37) has been charged with break and enter with intent and possessing break in tools. He was detained in custody.
