Female found unresponsive, Homicide Unit investigating: C25-183086

On August 6, 2025, just after 10:00 p.m., North District General Patrol officers responded to the 300 block of Alfred Avenue for the report of an unresponsive female.

Upon arrival, officers learned that the female had been located outside and was being provided with medical care by emergency personnel. The female was transported to hospital in critical condition where she has since succumbed to her injuries.

The deceased victim has been identified as being 45-year-old Christine BECK.

The Homicide Unit assumed the investigation.

The Homicide Unit consulted with Manitoba Prosecution Services which authorized the charge of Manslaughter.

On August 7, 2025, just after 2:00 a.m., the Homicide Unit arrested a 36-year-old female and a 36-year-old male.

Cailie Lauren CHARTRAND and Bradley Kenneth JONES, have been charged with Manslaughter and have been detained in custody.
