Third suspect arrested following robbery with firearm investigation: C25-127904

On June 9, 2025, at approximately 6:18 p.m., a man was walking in the back lane of the 300 block of Kennedy Street when he was approached by a suspect armed with a baton who demanded his personal property. As the victim attempted to walk away, he was assaulted by two additional suspects — one of whom produced a .22 calibre rifle.

The suspects fled the scene without obtaining any of his belongings. Police were contacted, and the man was taken to hospital in unstable condition, and later upgraded to stable.

The investigation was assumed by the Major Crimes Unit, and three suspects were identified.

On June 21, 2025 Alexander Christopher SHORTING (34) was located and arrested by Central District patrol officer’s in the downtown area. He has been charged with:

  • Robbery
  • Carrying Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device or Ammunition
  • Possession of a Weapon
  • Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order X 2
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order

On July 10, 2025 Tyrone Jackson BEAULIEU (30) was apprehended by members of the Manitoba Violent Offender Apprehension Unit in the William Whyte area. He has been charged with:

  • Armed Robbery using a Firearm
  • Discharge a Restricted Firearm or a Prohibited Firearm with Intent
  • Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
  • Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon, Firearm Part or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order X 3
  • Carrying Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device or Ammunition
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in Motor Vehicle

On August 3, 2025 Dakota Sky WAPACH (30) was located and taken into custody by investigators in the downtown area. He was been charged with:

  • Robbery
  • Fail to Comply with Condition of Undertaking

All three were detained in custody.
