Drugs and firearm seized by police, two men and woman arrested: R25-35860

In July 2025, the Winnipeg Police Service’s Guns and Gangs Unit began an investigation regarding firearm and drug trafficking within the Rossmere neighbourhood. Through investigation, a location of interest and two suspects were identified.

On July 20, 2025, just after 12:00 p.m., with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team and the Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems Unit, two search warrants were executed on a residence in the 200 block of Devon Avenue.

During the investigation, investigators seized a total of over $112,000 of illicit drugs, including 129 grams of crack cocaine, 998 grams of cocaine, 3 grams of MDMA, 18 grams of Psilocybin, 500 ml Hydrocodone x 5, a loaded hand gun, an empty 50 round drum magazine, $1,100 in Canadian currency, scales, a money counter, and drug packaging.

A man and a woman were arrested.

On August 1, 2025, investigators arrested a second man after continuing the investigation.

29-year-old Devin Dixon has been charged with a number of offences including Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of a Scheduled Substance, Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000, Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, and Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition.

26-year-old Jayden FIRTH has been charged with a number of offences including Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of a Scheduled Substance, Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000, Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition, Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition, and Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations.

Dixon and Firth were detained in custody.

A 43-year-old woman is facing a number of offences including Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of a Scheduled Substance, Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000, Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, and Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition.

She was released on an Undertaking.
