Drugs and firearm seized by police, three men arrested: C25-175887

On July 30, 2025, just before 3:00 p.m., North District General Patrol officers responded to a gun call at a residence in the 400 block of Mountain Avenue. Police received information that a man within the residence was in possession of a gun.

With the assistance of the Tactical Support Team, three men were arrested without injury. While making the arrests, a loaded 9mm handgun was located in plain view within the residence.

The Guns and Gangs Unit assumed the investigation.

Just after 9:00 p.m., a search warrant was executed on the residence where investigators seized a total of $56,600 of illicit drugs, including nearly 3 kilograms of methamphetamine, 379 grams of fentanyl, 126 grams of cocaine, over $55,000 in Canadian currency, a loaded 9mm handgun, scales, vacuum sealers, and other drug related paraphernalia.

Michael Maurice MENTUCK (34), James Anthony KEEWATIN (34), and Jarrod Michael DAVIS (33), have been charged with a number of drug, proceeds, and firearms-related charges including:

  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
  • Possessing of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
  • Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000

They were all detained in custody.
