On July 25, 2025 at 9:50 p.m., East District General Patrol arrested an adult male after he robbed two businesses at knifepoint in the 1100 block of St. Mary’s Road and the 600 block of Dakota Street.

Earlier in the evening, 28-year-old Julian Joseph WOOD was removed from a lounge in the 1100 block of St. Mary’s due to belligerent behaviour. WOOD then attended a fast-food storefront in the 600 block of Dakota Street armed with a knife, and chased employees from the store before leaving empty-handed.

At 9:50 p.m., WOOD returned to the 1100 block of St. Mary’s Road, stole a 15-pack of beer from a vendor at knifepoint, and left without paying. A vendor employee attempted to intervene, however, attending officers observed the interaction and WOOD fled on foot. He was arrested by officers after a short foot pursuit.

No injuries were reported from any of the incidents.

WOOD is charged with two counts of Robbery, Possession of a Weapon, and three counts of Fail to Comply with Conditions of a Release Order.

WOOD was detained in custody.
