Suspect arrested for child pornography and voyeurism offences: C25-155126

In July 2025, the Winnipeg Police Service’s Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) was alerted to child sexual abuse imagery.

On July 9, 2025, at 12:21 a.m the suspect was taken into custody in the area of Hargrave Street and Donald Street. During his arrest, a cell phone was seized and revealed child sexual abuse material. ICE Investigators executed a search warrant at a residence in the downtown area, where additional electronic devices were seized.

Matthew DE PAZ (30) has been charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of Child Pornography
  • Access any Child Pornography
  • Voyeurism

He was released with conditions prohibiting access to the internet and contact with anyone under 18, as directed by the Criminal Code.

The ICE Unit is continuing its investigation into the incident.
