Homicide – Arrest Update: C24-153322

Update:

On September 22, 2024, officers from the Central District located Devon Charlie COLOMB (26) who had a warrant for Accessory to Murder in relation to the homicide of Ashley Isabella MURDOCK on July 5, 2024.

Charged with Accessory to Murder, he was turned over to the Homicide Unit and has been detained in custody.

As previously released:

On July 19, 2024, the Winnipeg Police Service issued a media release regarding arrests made and a wanted person for the homicide of a 28-year-old female, Ashley Isabella MURDOCK.

On July 5, 2024, at approximately 7:20 a.m. Ashley was found deceased at an apartment complex in the 300 block of Kennedy Street.

Investigators determined that although the deceased was discovered in the 300 block of Kennedy, she had previously been moved from another location while already deceased.

Three individuals were charged in relation to her homicide:

  • Kelly Marie KROEKER (32) was charged with Second Degree Murder.
  • Kenneth Walter YOUNG (28) was charged with Accessory to Murder
  • Charles Harold WOOD (38) was charged with Accessory to Murder.

The Homicide Unit was seeking the public’s assistance to locate Devon Charlie COLOMB (26) wanted for Accessory to Murder.
