On September 1, 2024 at approximately 11:15 a.m., General Patrol officers from the East District with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team responded to a gun call at an apartment complex in the 100 block of Aubert Street in St. Boniface.

A male in his 30s was located on a balcony with injuries as a result of being shot. He was transported to hospital in critical condition and remains in serious but stable condition.

The Major Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation and is seeking the public’s assistance.
