On July 26, 2024, in the late afternoon, two male suspects in a Jeep Trailhawk with previously stolen licence plates were in the area of the 300 block of Furby Street. The suspects exited their vehicle armed with weapons and concealed their identities before robbing an adult male and female of an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes.

The suspects fled in the Jeep, and police were notified.   

At approximately 8:50 p.m., North District General Patrol members located the vehicle and suspects near Isabel Street and Logan Avenue. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle safely; however, the suspect again fled the area. With the assistance of Air1, the Canine Unit and Traffic Division, the suspects were taken into custody after fleeing on foot in the 900 block of Palmerston Avenue.

The Major Crimes Unit assumed the investigation.

Colin Love GROVES, 37, has been charged with the following:

- Robbery x 2

- Possession of a Weapon

- Disguise with Intent

- Flight While Pursued by Peace Officer

- Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order

Sage Albert YOUNG, 33, has been charged with the following:

- Robbery x 2

- Possession of a Weapon

- Disguise with Intent

Both males were detained in custody.
