Drug Trafficking – Arrests: R24-14030

In the Spring of 2024, the Winnipeg Police Service’s Organized Crime Unit (OCU), with the assistance of the Brandon Police Service, began a drug trafficking investigation. A drug trafficking network was operating in the City of Winnipeg and also supplying traffickers in the City of Brandon, Manitoba.

On May 11, 2024, police arrested two individuals who had just disembarked a domestic flight at the Winnipeg Richardson International Airport.

Twenty-four (24) kilograms of cocaine with an estimated street value of $2.4 million was seized from their luggage.

Two females from Winnipeg, Rosemary Amanda OGOMS (32) and Jayde Renee KING (30), were charged with Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine.

They were both released on Undertakings as mandated by the Criminal Code.
