Firearms & Stolen Property – Arrest: C24-164231

On July 17, 2024, at approximately 4:30 a.m., officers from the North District observed a male riding an e-bike in the area of Isabel/McDermot.

The bike had unique features that matched the description of an e-bike recently stolen from a nearby neighbourhood. Police took the male into custody in the 400 block of Kennedy Street and the bike was confirmed on file as stolen.

During the arrest a sawed-off rifle and an air pistol were located concealed in his backpack.

Terrance Trevor OKEMOW (44) of Winnipeg was charged with the following firearm-related and property offences:

  • Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Weapon Knowing its Poss is Unauthorized
  • Carrying Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device or Ammunition x 2
  • Possession of a Weapon
  • Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order x 2
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000

He was detained in custody.
