On July 14, 2024, the Winnipeg Police Service received a report of an individual who was robbed and assaulted by a group of teens.

A male in his mid-teens got off a bus at Selkirk/Andrews and began walking when a group of approximately 6-10 teens later exited the bus and confronted him at Manitoba/Andrews. They pushed him and demanded his property while armed with weapons and continued to assault him while he was on the ground.

The suspects eventually left with some of the victim’s property and hopped onto another bus. The victim reported the assault to his parent, and police were notified. He declined medical attention at the time.

The Major Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation.
