Stabbing – Investigation: C23-231104

On September 22, 2023, at approximately 11:30 p.m., Winnipeg Police Service members were flagged down near the intersection of Carlton Street and Portage Avenue for a male who had been stabbed.

Central Division General Patrol officers located a 14-year-old male youth victim suffering from serious upper-body injuries sustained from a stabbing. Officers provided the victim with emergency medical care with the application of chest seals and a tourniquet before ambulance arrived. He was transported to hospital in critical condition and upgraded to stable before undergoing surgery. The suspects fled before the police arrived.

No arrests have been made, and the Major Crimes Unit has assumed the investigation.
