Robbery with a Firearm – Arrest: C23-229056

On September 20, 2023, at approximately 9:00 p.m., General Patrol members and the Tactical Support Team responded to a robbery with a firearm in front of Union Station at 123 Main Street.

The victim, in his 20s, was sitting outside the station when confronted by two suspects demanding a cigarette. When he declined to turn over more cigarettes, he was robbed of the cigarettes and money at gunpoint and assaulted before the suspects fled on foot. He did not require medical attention.

Police located and arrested the suspects in a recreational area of the Forks Market.

A 16-year-old male from Winnipeg was charged with:

- Armed Robbery using a Firearm

- Carrying Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device or Ammunition

- Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order

He was detained in custody.

A 14-year-old female is facing the charge of Armed Robbery using a Firearm, and released on an Appearance Notice as mandated by the Criminal Code.
