The Project Management Institute Manitoba has recognized the City of Winnipeg for the Office 365 Citywide Project.

Our Innovation & Technology Department gives us the support we need to provide services to the public and our employees. This week Project Management Institute Manitoba recognized the department for its hard work.

They awarded the team with the 2025 Project of the Year Award for their Office 365 Citywide Project. This project transformed how employees share information and collaborate. The result is lower costs, better data protection, and improved communication.

“We’re honoured to see the impact this project has had,” said Marceli Walczak, Acting Director of the City’s Innovation & Technology Department.

Winning this award brings pride, credibility, and visibility to the dedicated team behind it.

The award includes a $1,500 charitable donation, which will be made to the City of Winnipeg Charitable Fund. The donation will be split between the United Way and The Winnipeg Foundation.

Because of the team's hard work, employees can now collaborate across departments with improved security. As a result, we’re more prepared to support services for residents.
