Heritage Conservation Districts

A Heritage Conservation District (HCD) is a tool to conserve an area with heritage value. The Heritage Conservation Districts By-law sets out the process (PDF, 379KB) for the nomination, evaluation, designation, and regulation of HCDs.

Alterations and new development are reviewed for consistency with an HCD Plan.
