565-569 Watt St. and 545 Watt St. Housing
We are working with developers to build affordable housing on priority City-owned properties.
545 Watt Street and 565-569 Watt Street are priority sites for affordable housing. Developers are building multi-family housing on these sites. At least 30 percent of the units will meet the City’s affordability criteria.

We are proceeding with the application to rezone the land. The current site is a Public Works yard and we want to change it to multi-family housing and community support services.
A public hearing is scheduled for November 20, 2025. The application to rezone is on the agenda for the East Kildonan - Transcona Community Committee.

- Drop-in space, offices for community support services, and expanded programming for counselling and child-minding
