Winnipeg, MB – At 12:12 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2022 the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a two-storey multi-family residential building in the 0-100 block of Euclid Avenue.
Once crews arrived on-scene, they encountered smoke coming from a suite in the building. They launched an offensive attack, quickly extinguishing the fire and declaring it under control at 12:27 p.m..

Winnipeg, MB – At approximately 7:48 a.m. on Sunday, April 3, 2022 the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a vacant two-and-a-half storey house in the 600 block of Alexander Avenue.
When crews arrived on-scene, they encountered heavy smoke billowing from the structure. Crews launched a defensive fire attack and declared the fire under control at approximately 9:20 a.m.
A search of the structure found no one inside. No injuries were reported.
Winnipeg, MB – In an effort to provide greater access to food waste collection programs in Winnipeg and help reduce the amount of food waste entering our landfills, the City of Winnipeg is launching a Compost Support Program.
As part of the program, organizations that collect and transport food waste to a licensed compost facility are eligible to apply for support payments up to a maximum of $65,000 in cash and in-kind advertising credits.

When crews arrived on-scene, they encountered heavy smoke coming from the structure. Due to deteriorating structural conditions, crews launched a defensive fire attack using an aerial ladder and hose streams to extinguish the fire. The fire was declared under control at approximately 2:09 p.m.

At approximately 9:54 p.m. on Monday, March 28, 2022 WFPS crews responded to reports of smoke coming from a vacant warehouse in the 0-100 block of Point Douglas Avenue.
Winnipeg, MB – At approximately 5:51 p.m. on Monday, March 28, 2022 the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a vacant one-and-a-half storey house in the 600 block of Victor Street.
When crews arrived on-scene, they encountered heavy smoke billowing from the structure. Crews launched an offensive fire attack, declaring the fire under control at approximately 6:35 p.m.
Occupants of neighbouring homes were evacuated as a precaution and have since returned to their homes.
No injuries have been reported.
