Winnipeg, MB – The City of Winnipeg will be reopening our facilities and resuming services that were previously closed, cancelled, or suspended due to the storm in the days ahead.
Residents are reminded that all civic offices are closed on Friday, April 15 and on Monday, April 18, and that holiday operating hours and schedules are in effect this weekend.

Winnipeg, MB – At 12:29 a.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2022 the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a vacant bungalow in the 0 to 100 block of McKenzie Street.
When crews arrived on-scene, they encountered smoke coming from the structure. An offensive attack was launched, and the fire was declared under control at 12:52 a.m.
Crews completed a search of the structure and no occupants were found. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available at this time.
Winnipeg, MB – At 6:06 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a vacant bungalow in the 300 block of Burrows Avenue.
When crews arrived on-scene, they encountered a well-involved fire with heavy smoke and flames venting from the structure. A defensive attack was launched, and the fire was declared under control at 6:42 p.m. Once it was safe to do so, crews entered the structure to fully extinguish all hot spots.

At 3:37 p.m., the WFPS responded to reports of a fire in a vacant two-storey house in the 400 block of Manitoba Avenue.

The Customer Service front-counter located at the Susan A. Thompson Building, 510 Main St., as well as the Bilingual Customer Service Centre, located at 170 Goulet St., are closed to in-person service effective Wednesday, April 13 until further notice.
Parking prohibited on snow routes between midnight and 7 a.m.
Winnipeg, MB – In anticipation of the forecasted snow and to facilitate snow clearing efforts, an Extended Snow Route Parking Ban will be in effect starting Thursday, April 14, 2022 at 12 a.m. (midnight when Wednesday turns to Thursday).
While in effect, the Extended Snow Route Parking Ban prohibits parking on snow routes between midnight and 7 a.m.
