Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fire on Langside Street

Winnipeg, MB – At 10:31 a.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2022, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to reports of a garage fire in the 0 to 100 block of Langside Street.

When crews arrived at the scene they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the garage, with fire extending to the adjacent vacant house. An offensive attack was launched and the fire was declared under control at 10:57 a.m.

Crews completed a search of the garage and house and no occupants were found. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Damage estimates are not available but the garage is expected to be a complete loss. The adjacent house suffered minor fire damage.
