Public invited to provide feedback on potential route options for the Eastern Rapid Transit Corrido

Winnipeg, MB The City of Winnipeg is inviting residents to review and provide feedback on potential route options for the Eastern Rapid Transit Corridor at a series of public open houses from Monday, June 18 to Thursday, June 21, 2018.

Members of the Eastern Corridor Study project team will be on hand to answer questions and gather input at the following in-person engagement opportunities:

Sargent Avenue between Empress Street and Strathcona Street closed June 6 to 7

Winnipeg, MB – Sargent Avenue between Empress Street and Strathcona Street will be completely closed to eastbound and westbound traffic starting at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6 for a railway crossing repair. Sargent Avenue will reopen at 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 7.

Motorists should use alternate routes and allow additional travel time to get to their destinations.

Northbound and southbound William R. Clement Parkway to be to be temporarily closed

Winnipeg, MB – The northbound and southbound directions of travel on William R. Clement Parkway between Grant Avenue and Roblin Boulevard will be temporarily closed starting Wednesday, June 6 at 7 p.m. until 4:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 7 for film production.

Motorists should use alternate routes and allow additional travel time to get to their destinations.

City unveils Assiniboia Residential School Display

Winnipeg, MB – The City's spring cleaning of streets, sidewalks and boulevards is now complete.

The Public Works Department wishes to thank citizens for their cooperation while cleaning operations were underway.

City unveils Assiniboia Residential School Display

Winnipeg, MB – The City of Winnipeg unveiled a nine panel display about the Assiniboia Residential School to provide residents an opportunity to learn about a local Residential School, with a goal of renewed perspectives and understandings to strengthen relationships with Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in the community.

Logan Avenue between Vine Street and Weston Street closed June 1 to 3

Winnipeg, MB – Logan Avenue between Vine Street and Weston Street will be completely closed to eastbound and westbound traffic starting at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 1 for a railway crossing reconstruction. Logan Avenue will reopen at 9 p.m. on Sunday, June 3.

Motorists should use alternate routes and allow additional travel time to get to their destinations.
