Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service update: Manitoba Avenue Fire

Winnipeg, MB – At approximately 2:35 a.m. on Wednesday, August 22, 2018, Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) crews responded to a report of a fire at a residence in the 600 block of Manitoba Avenue. Upon arrival on scene, crews found and extinguished the fire on the back porch area of the home.

Six occupants from the home had self-evacuated prior to crews arrival. They were assessed by WFPS paramedics on scene and no injuries were reported.

This incident was the second fire on Manitoba Avenue in as many nights. The cause of both fires is under investigation and no damage estimates are available at this time.
