Winnipeg, MB – At 1:43 p.m. on November 24, 2019, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to reports of a fire in a multi-family, side-by-side home in the 800 block of McMeans Avenue East.
When crews arrived on scene, they encountered heavy smoke coming from the home. Crews launched an offensive attack, fighting the fire from inside the home. The fire was declared under control at 2:17 p.m.
Winnipeg, MB – At 11:01 p.m. on November 23, 2019, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to reports of fire in a barn on Loudoun Road.
When crews arrived on scene, crews encountered a well-involved fire in the barn with heavy flames and smoke coming from the structure. Crews launched a defensive attack, using water tankers to shuttle water to the scene, as this area is outside the water district. The fire was declared under control at 1:08 a.m.
Winnipeg, MB – At 1:33 a.m. on November 23, 2019, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to reports of fire in a side-by-side home in the 0-100 block of Dewdney Avenue.
When crews arrived on scene, they encountered heavy flames and smoke coming from the home. Crews launched a defensive attack until they could transition to an offensive, interior attack. The fire was declared under control at 2:52 a.m.
Crews completed a search of the home and no occupants were located. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Winnipeg, MB – At 5:03 a.m. on November 22, 2019, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of fire in a one-storey home on Southwalk Bay. When crews arrived, they encountered smoke inside the home. Crews launched an offensive attack, declaring the fire under control at 5:22 a.m.
Occupants of the home self-evacuated prior to crew arrival. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available at this time.
Winnipeg, MB – At 4:11 p.m. on November 20, 2019, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to a monitored alarm in an apartment building in the 100 block of Worthington Avenue.
When crews arrived on scene, they encountered a small fire contained to one suite. Crews launched an offensive attack, declaring the fire under control at 4:21 p.m.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available.
