Winter 2020 Leisure Guide Skating and Swimming brochures now available online

Winnipeg, MB – The Winter 2020 Leisure Guide Skating and Swimming brochures are now available exclusively online at winnipeg.ca.

Activity registration for all winter skating lessons and winter swimming lessons begins Tuesday, December 10 at 8 a.m. Registration for non-residents begins one week after registration for residents. For more information, please visit City of Winnipeg - Recreation Registration Non-Resident.

Registration for swimming lessons at the Bonivital Pool (1215 Archibald Street) will not be available this winter, as the facility is scheduled to undergo structural repairs to the pool deck and tank and mechanical upgrades to the Heat Recovery Ventilator unit beginning in January. It’s anticipated that the pool will reopen to the public in summer 2020.

Registration will be ongoing after these start dates. Visit winnipeg.ca or contact 311 for more information.

If you are planning to register for winter skating lessons or winter swimming lessons using leisureONLINE, please ensure that you are able to successfully log in to your online account BEFORE registration starts. If you are having difficulty accessing your account, please call 311.

In-Person Registration Locations for December 10 Only

The following Registration Centres will operate on December 10 only:

  • Central Registration Centre, Cindy Klassen Recreation Complex
  • South-East Registration Centre, Louis Riel Library

Limited in-person registration on December 10 will also be accepted at all City of Winnipeg indoor pools, with the exception of Bonivital, beginning at 8 a.m. Registration at Eldon Ross will be available beginning at 1 p.m. Check in-person registration times at the facility of your choice by contacting 311 or visiting winnipeg.ca.

Queue numbers at all in-person locations (except Eldon Ross) will be distributed starting at 7 a.m. on December 10.

Registration for all other winter Leisure Guide activities is still open. Register anytime by calling 311 or visiting City of Winnipeg – leisureONLINE.
