Winnipeg, MB – At 7:32 a.m. on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire inside a vacant bungalow in the 200 block of Trent Avenue.
When crews arrived on scene, they encountered smoke coming from the house. They launched an offensive attack, declaring the fire under control at 8:12 a.m.
Crews completed a search of the structure and no occupants were located. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are currently available.
Winnipeg, MB – Grassie Boulevard, from Plessis Road to McLellan Drive, will be closed for asphalt resurfacing from Wednesday, August 11 at 9 a.m. until Tuesday, August 17 at 10 p.m. Motorists wishing to access local area businesses on Plessis Road can do so via Ham Street and Cordite Road. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

Winnipeg, MB – At 8:34 p.m. on Sunday, August 8, 2021, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to reports of a fire inside a two-and-a-half-storey, single-family home in the 500 block of McAdam Avenue.
Winnipeg, MB – At 12:42 p.m. on Friday, August 6, 2021, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to reports of an individual in the Red River near The Forks. Witnesses saw the individual go under the water without resurfacing.
WFPS Water Rescue crews arrived on scene and initiated a search mission for the missing individual, aided by the Winnipeg Police Service River Patrol. At approximately 2:40 p.m. the individual was located deceased
Winnipeg, MB – Arlington Bridge, between Logan Avenue and Dufferin Avenue, will be closed for bridge maintenance from Monday, August 9 at 6 a.m., until Monday, August 23 at 6 a.m. Pedestrian access will be maintained during the closure.

When crews arrived on scene, they encountered light smoke coming from the house. They launched an offensive attack, declaring the fire under control at 4:14 p.m.
The sole occupant of the house self-evacuated prior to crew arrival. They were assessed by on-scene paramedics but did not require transport to hospital. No other injuries were reported.
