The Winnipeg Transit+ On-Request app will give Winnipeg Transit Plus customers the option to book trips on their smartphone.

Making trip requests with Winnipeg Transit Plus has never been easier, thanks to the Winnipeg Transit+ On-Request trip-booking app.

The app is now available for download in both English and French in the Apple App and Google Play stores.

Customers will be able to make trip requests 24/7 with this new smartphone and web app.

“With this new app, we are excited to offer new ways to book trips with Winnipeg Transit Plus that allow our customers to book instantly,” said Teresa Platt, Manager of Client Services.

“The Winnipeg Transit+ On-Request app and the automated phone service empowers our customers to book trips how and when they want.”

In addition, the app offers expanded trip notification options. Customers can select app-based push notifications that will alert them when:

  • a trip has been successfully booked
  • a trip is 24 hours away
  • a trip is an hour away
  • a vehicle is arriving at their pick-up location
  • a vehicle is more than five minutes late for a pick-up
  • a trip has been cancelled
  • a trip has been missed (due to no show)

Customers will also be able to track their vehicle’s location and estimated time of arrival all within the app.

This app is part of our efforts to improve our entire service. In June, we launched our new trip-booking system, which also included an upgraded automated phone service and additional options to pay for fares.
