Kenny Boyce has dedicated his career to the success of the film industry in Winnipeg.

For over 25 years, Kenny has managed the City’s Film & Special Events Office. They work behind-the-scenes on the productions filmed in Winnipeg that you love. They support everything from small, independent films to Academy Award winning movies.

They also ensure many large events and festivals around Winnipeg run smoothly.

Recently, Kenny received a King Charles III Coronation Medal. It was presented to him by Lieutenant-governor Anita Neville for his contributions to our province. The ceremony was held at the Manitoba Legislature on April 9, 2025.

The medal commemorates the ascension of His Majesty King Charles III to the throne. It is the fourth medal Kenny has received from the royal family.

In November, Kenny received a special award from ACTRA Manitoba. They recognized him for his outstanding contribution to Manitoba's film and television industry. It was presented at their annual awards ceremony.
