Break & Enter – Investigation: C22-254616

On November 1, 2022, at 4:21 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service received a report of a front-end loader that had struck a convenience store in the 1300 block of Main Street. The collision damaged the front of the business, and the vehicle fled the area.

At the time of the incident, the store was closed. It is believed that the collision had been intentional, and the front-end loader has not been recovered.

Homicide – Update: C22-253610

As previously released:

On October 31, 2022, at 2:29 a.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the 100 block of Johnson Avenue West for a report of a male who had been injured.

Soon after, officers located an unresponsive adult male on the ground near a residence and began emergency medical care. The male was transported to a hospital in critical condition, where he was pronounced deceased.

His death is being investigated as a homicide.

Homicide – Investigation: C22-253610

Sexual Assault/Exploitation – Arrest: R22-36936

In July 2022, the Winnipeg Police Service's Child Abuse Unit began an investigation after receiving a report about a teenage student who had been sexually assaulted by their martial arts instructor between May and July 2022.

The victim reported that on more than one occasion before entering the class, the instructor touched them in an unwanted and sexual manner and attempted to kiss them on another occasion. They were not physically injured during these incidents.

Weapons/Drugs – Arrest: C22-249059

On October 24, 2022, the Winnipeg Police Service entered into an investigation regarding an adult male involved in trafficking illicit drugs in the city's North End and believed to be in possession of a firearm.

Homicide – Arrest: C22-240499

On October 15, 2022, at 11:11 p.m., Central District General Patrol units responded to the first 100 block of Isabel Street for a report of a person being assaulted.

Officers, with the assistance of Air1, located an injured male suffering bodily injuries sustained from being assaulted. Officers located a suspect on a bicycle a short distance away, and placed him under arrest without incident. The victim was transported to hospital, where he was treated for his injuries. After being released from hospital, the victim returned home to his residence.

Homicide – Public Assistance: C22-247507

On October 24, 2022, at approximately 9:45 a.m., the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) and police responded to the 130 block of Clyde Road for the report of an injured male lying underneath a U-haul / cargo-style truck parked on the street.

WFPS determined the victim was deceased. Police subsequently cordoned off the area, and the Homicide Unit took over the investigation.

The deceased victim has been identified as Lionel Sherwin COLOMBE, a 35-year-old male.

Weapons/Drugs – Arrest: C22-245804

On October 22, at approximately 6:00 a.m, members of the Winnipeg Police Service’s West District General Patrol observed an adult male operating a bicycle with a hatchet attached to his backpack.

Officers made contact with the suspect male and safely placed him under arrest.

The suspect was found to be in possession of the following items, which were seized as evidence:

- Approximately 276 grams of Methamphetamine (Estimated Street Value = $13,800)
- Hatchet x 2
- Large Knife
- Scale
- Approximately $875 in currency

Drug Arrest: C22-246460

On October 22, at approximately 11:00 p.m, the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a Break & Enter report at a residence in the 300 block of Stradbrook Street after a male was observed on a balcony of a neighbouring resident.
