Drug Arrest: C22-246460

On October 22, at approximately 11:00 p.m, the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a Break & Enter report at a residence in the 300 block of Stradbrook Street after a male was observed on a balcony of a neighbouring resident.

Officers from the West District, assisted by the Tactical Support Unit, attended and located a 20-year-old male suspect who had locked himself out on the balcony of his vacation rental suite. The suspect provided officers with the access code to enter the suite. Officers observed drugs and money in plain view as they entered the suite, showing signs of drug trafficking. Officers ‘rescued’ the suspect from the balcony and safely placed him under arrest for a drug investigation.

Officers obtained and executed a search warrant for the residence seizing the following items as evidence:

- Approximately 3.6 ounces of Cocaine (Estimated Street Value: $7,200)
- Approximately 12 ounces of Fentanyl (Estimated Street Value: $42,000)
- Approximately 269 Fentanyl pills (Estimated Street Value: $21,520)
- Approximately 500 grams of Benzocaine cutting agent (Estimated Street Value: $350)
- Approximately $25,000 in currency
- Cellular phones
- Scales
- Vacuum sealer
- Packaging Materials

Handsome RAULIA, 20, of Vancouver, B.C, is charged with the following offences:

- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Fentanyl)
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine)
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000

He was detained in custody.
