Winnipeg, MB - The major rehabilitation of Pembina Highway from Osborne Street to Grant Avenue is now underway. This $11.7 million project includes rehabilitating Pembina Highway travel lanes and sidewalks, and also includes the addition of buffered bike lanes between Arbuthnot Street (just south of Grant Avenue) and Osborne Street. Portions of Corydon Avenue and McMillan Avenue will be rehabilitated as well.
Winnipeg, MB. - Starting today, Winnipeg Transit’s reloadable peggo card will be available for seniors to purchase and start using.
Seniors can purchase peggo cards in person at 97 locations across the City. These include all 7-Eleven and Shoppers Drug Mart stores as well as 18 other independent and City of Winnipeg outlets. Cards are also available for purchase online at WinnipegTransit.com or by calling 311. Senior peggo cards are green in colour.

Winnipeg, MB - Southbound St. John Ambulance Way from Eastway exiting onto eastbound Portage Avenue will remain temporarily closed to vehicles until Friday, July 8 for a watermain renewal project.
Motorists should allow additional time to get to their destinations, and use alternate routes when traveling in this vicinity.
Winnipeg, MB - Eastbound Colony Street between Good Street and Osborne Street N will be closed to traffic on Sunday, July 3 from 8:00 a.m. until noon for an MTS project.
Pedestrian access will be maintained, and motorists should allow additional travel time to get to their destinations, and use alternate routes.
Winnipeg, MB - Join the Living Prairie Museum for free, family education programs every Thursday from July 14 to August 25. Programs include a presentation on a prairie topic followed by an activity. Theme Days are suited to ages 4 - 11. Parental supervision is required.
Register for one of two sessions: 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., or 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Winnipeg, MB - The public is advised that the skywalk between the Delta Winnipeg and RBC Convention Centre will be closed from Monday, July 4 to Friday, September 2 to accommodate structural repairs.
There will also be restoration work on the canopy and exit doors of the RBC Convention Centre underneath the walkway, but the street-level exit will remain open throughout construction.
Winnipeg, MB - At an event today, Councillor Brian Mayes officially celebrated the reopening of the newly renovated St. Vital Outdoor Pool. The pool will open to the public on Thursday, June 30, 2016, and will offer free admission from Thursday, June 30 to Sunday, July 3 to welcome the public to the renovated facility.
Winnipeg, MB - Elmwood Kildonans Pool, located at 909 Concordia Avenue, will reopen tomorrow, Wednesday, June 29 at 6:00 a.m. following a temporary closure due to a fire in the pool's basement.
