Notre Dame Avenue closed between Weston Street to Midland Street for railway crossing repair

Winnipeg, MB - Notre Dame Avenue between Weston Street and Midland Street will be completely closed to eastbound and westbound traffic starting at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 21 for a Canadian Pacific railway crossing repair. Notre Dame Avenue will reopen at 11 p.m. on Sunday, July 23, 2017.

Pedestrian access will be maintained and motorists are encouraged to use alternative routes during this time.

Rose Hill Park renewal officially underway

Landfill Gas Collection System to be expanded this summer

Winnipeg, MB - The landfill gas collection system at the Brady Road Resource Management Facility (Brady Road Landfill) will be expanded this summer, as required under section 15 of The Climate Change and Emissions Reductions Act. The expansion is expected to double the amount of landfill gas that is collected.

Weston Park playground receives $312,000 makeover

Winnipeg, MB - Residents can now enjoy new amenities at the Weston Park playground, located at 299 Lock Street, following a significant makeover.

“The City’s investment in Weston Park will help make the playground a destination for families in the area,” said Mike Pagtakhan, Chair of the Standing Policy Committee on Protection, Community Services and Parks. “Access to modern park amenities is key to helping kids and youth stay active and fit. I encourage area residents to visit the park this summer and enjoy everything it has to offer.”

Intersection of Mountain Avenue and McPhillips Street closing temporarily over the weekend

Winnipeg, MB - The intersection of Mountain Avenue and McPhillips Street will be temporarily closed to traffic from 6:00 p.m. Saturday, July 15 until 6:00 p.m. Sunday, July 16 for sewer work.

Traffic travelling in both directions on Mountain Avenue will be directed to turn right onto McPhillips Street. There will be no through traffic or left turns allowed in either direction from Mountain Avenue onto McPhillips Street.

Southbound St. Anne's Road temporarily reduced to two lanes between Inman Avenue and Fermor Avenue for water main repair

Winnipeg, MB - Southbound St. Anne’s Road will be temporarily reduced to two lanes between Inman Avenue and Fermor Avenue for water main repairs.

Southbound traffic on St. Anne’s will use the two east side lanes during the closure which is expected to last until Friday, July 21, 2017.

Motorists should allow additional time to get to their destinations, and use alternate routes.
