In August 2024, the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) in Vancouver intercepted a suspicious package destined for a Winnipeg address. The Winnipeg Police Service’s Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) was alerted, and an investigation commenced.
On August 29, ICE investigators took custody of the package and determined its contents contained a sex doll anatomically designed to look like a pre-pubescent child.
A suspect was identified, and through subsequent investigation, the investigators learned that between October 2023 and August 2024, the suspect ordered several similar items. A search warrant was obtained.
On September 4, the search warrant was executed at a Fort Richmond residence. Approximately 20 anatomically correct female dolls ranging from newborn to early teens were located along with clothing/accessories intended for the dolls. Some of the dolls had been physically altered from their original state.
