City of Winnipeg’s Winter Leisure Guide now available

Start your new year off right with classes designed to keep the whole family moving

Winnipeg, MB – The City of Winnipeg’s Winter 2022 Leisure Guide, Leisure Guide Skating brochure, and Leisure Guide Swimming brochure are now available for viewing online. Registration for all winter activities begins Tuesday, December 14 at 8 a.m. for Winnipeg residents, and Thursday, December 16 at 8 a.m. for non-residents.

Staying active during the winter can be difficult. From dance, to sport and fitness, this season’s Leisure Guide features plenty of classes to get you and your family off your feet, including the new Family Spin Class.

Registration can be completed by calling 311, in-person at 395 Main St., Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or online at City of Winnipeg - leisureONLINE. In-person registration is also available at any City indoor pool, except St. James Civic Centre.

If you are planning to register for Leisure Guide activities using leisureONLINE, please ensure that you are able to successfully log in to your online account BEFORE registration starts. If you are having difficulty accessing your account, please call 311. Video tutorials are available on how to create an account and how to register for an activity.

Changes to vaccine requirements for youth effective December 6

All programming will follow provincial public health orders, and is subject to change to reflect updates to the province’s orders.

Residents are reminded that proof of full COVID-19 immunization, including proof of identification, is required under provincial public health orders for anyone 18 years of age and over to visit and participate in indoor programming at City-operated pools, fitness and leisure centres, and arenas.

Effective December 6, 2021, as per provincial public health orders, anyone between the ages of 12 – 17 will require either one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine or a confirmed recent negative test to participate in indoor programming.

Masks must be worn at all times in our facilities, except when engaged in water or other athletic activities.
