Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fire on Sherbrook Street
Winnipeg, MB – At 10:19 p.m. on Monday, November 7, 2022, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to reports of a fire in a single-family bungalow in the 400 block of Sherbrook Street.
When crews arrived at the location, they found the house fully-engulfed in flames. As it was not safe to enter the house, firefighters attacked the fire from outside of the house. Crews used hand lines and an aerial ladder truck to apply water to the fire and to protect the neighbouring house. The fire was declared under control at 11:25 p.m.

Winnipeg, MB – At 8:58 a.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2022, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a vacant house in the 100 block of Matheson Avenue East.
At the scene, firefighters saw smoke coming from the house. Crews attacked the fire from the inside.
Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fires on Day Street and Young Street
Winnipeg, MB – The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to the following incidents earlier today:
Day St.
At 11:32 a.m. on Sunday, November 6, 2022, the WFPS responded to reports of a fire in a commercial building in the 2500 block of Day Street.
At the scene, crews found a minor fire in the building and extinguished it. Paramedics treated four people and transported them to hospital in stable condition.
The cause of the fire was accidental. No damage estimates are available.

Winnipeg, MB – At 8:58 a.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2022, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a vacant house in the 100 block of Matheson Avenue East.
At the scene, firefighters saw smoke coming from the house. Crews attacked the fire from the inside.
Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to a fire on Sinclair Street
Winnipeg, MB – At 10:27 p.m. on Friday, November 4, 2022, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a single-storey duplex in the 3000 block of Sinclair Street.
At the scene, firefighters saw flames and smoke coming from the home. Crews attacked the fire from the outside until it was safe to enter the home and attack from the inside. The fire was under control at 10:48 p.m.
Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fire on Belvidere Street
Winnipeg, MB – At 12:46 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to a fire in a one-and-a-half storey, single family home in the 300 block of Belvidere Street.
When crews arrived on scene, they found black smoke coming from the house. Firefighters attacked the fire from inside the home, declaring it under control at 1:19 p.m.
No one was home at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported.

Carbon Monoxide Awareness Week is Nov. 1 to 7
Winnipeg, MB – As temperatures cool, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) asks residents to learn about carbon monoxide poisoning and learn how to prevent carbon monoxide exposures in their homes.
“Carbon monoxide is deadly, but it’s also almost impossible detect without an alarm,” said Scott Wilkinson, Assistant Chief of Community Risk Reduction. “As the weather gets colder, we use fuel-burning appliances more, which can put your family at risk if they malfunction or are not used properly.”
