Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fire on Point Douglas Avenue

Winnipeg, MB – At 5:16 p.m. on Sunday, March 5, 2023, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a vacant, single-storey industrial / storage building on Point Douglas Avenue.

Upon arrival on scene, crews found smoke coming from the structure. Crews entered to fight the fire, declaring it under control at 5:44 p.m.

A search of the structure was completed and no occupants were found. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Damage estimates are not available at this time. The structure had sustained damage in several previous fires.
