Winnipeg, MB - The public is advised that Pandora Avenue from Wabasha Street to Roanoke Street will be completely closed to all vehicles from 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 17 until 6:00 a.m. on Monday, September 19 for road repairs.

Pedestrian access will be maintained while construction is underway.

Motorists are advised to allow for additional travel time or to use alternate routes in this area to reach their destinations.

City asks citizens for assistance in locating suitable Christmas tree for City Hall

Winnipeg, MB - Officials from the City of Winnipeg's Public Works Department are asking Winnipeg homeowners with large spruce trees to contact them if they are interested in donating their tree for City Hall's annual Christmas tree display.

The City received information about a number of potential Christmas tree candidates for this year’s holiday display, but none have met the criteria.

To be considered for the City Hall Christmas tree, a spruce tree must meet the following criteria:

Ferry Road completely closed between Silver Avenue and St. Matthews Avenue beginning September 10

Winnipeg, MB - Ferry Road between Silver Avenue and St. Matthews Avenue will be completely closed to vehicular traffic beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 10 for a water and sewer project. The project is expected to be completed late next week, depending on weather. Pedestrian access will be maintained while construction is underway.

Motorists are advised to allow for additional travel time or to use alternate routes in this area to reach their destinations.

Upcoming temporary road closure for Sherbrook Street Festival between Wolseley Avenue and Westminster Avenue

Winnipeg, MB - Sherbrook Street from Wolseley Avenue to Westminster Avenue will be closed to all vehicular traffic Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 8:00 a.m. until Sunday, September 11 at 1:00 a.m. for the Sherbrook Street Festival. Pedestrian access on Sherbrook Street will be maintained. Motorists should allow for additional travel time, and use alternate routes in this area to reach their destinations.

Eastbound Marion Street between Panet Road and Dawson Road to close for sewer repairs

Winnipeg, MB - Eastbound Marion Street between Panet Road and Dawson Road will be completely closed to traffic from 6:00 p.m. on Friday, September 9 until 7:00 a.m. on Monday, September 12 for sewer repairs. One lane of westbound traffic on Marion Street will be open to vehicles. Pedestrian access will be maintained while construction is underway.

Motorists are advised to allow for additional travel time or to use alternate routes in this area to reach their destinations.

Public invited to open houses for the St. Vital Library renovation and new Transcona Library

Winnipeg, MB - Winnipeggers are invited to attend public open houses and provide their input regarding the St. Vital Library renovation project and the new Transcona Library.
